Jared Smith Competes in the sports car Club of America's Formula First Division. The 19 Year Old University Of Kentucky Student finished 4th in the Formula Car Magazine challenge cup which is the North American Championship. He finished 2nd in the United States championship in 2007.

Formula First cars are 1.6 liter Audi/Volkswagen powered single seat race cars capable of speeds in excess pf 160 miles per hour. Jared races against drivers from all over the United States, Canada, and New Zealand.

Jared started racing at Lightning Valley when he was eight years old. He competed in purple, blue, gold plate classes and went on to lite, medium and heavy before moving to the

WKA Dunlop Road Racing Series and then full size single seat race cars.

Jared has scored victories at Gateway International in St. Louis, Nelson Ledges outside of Cleveland and Gingerman Raceway in Benton Hanbon , Michigan.

Jared still enjoys competing at Lightning Valley when the opportunity presents itself.
